Made it!

After 24 hours of flying (not as much sleep as I'd hoped but plenty of food, wine and movies) I finally got to Sydney about 9 on Friday night. Walking out of the terminal was a bit of a shock as it was sooooooooo hot and really humid but when I met Adey & Lara they said that it was quite unusual to be like this. Drove back to their flat and then sat out on the balcony with some champagne cocktails before I was completely flagging. They've got great views of the CBD though which is just like looking out to Canary Wharf. Relieved to hear that they haven't had any creepy crawlies up here too but am still checking things just to get into practice for when I'm not in such civilised surroundings!

Still can't quite believe I'm actually here in Australia !!
