It certainly ain't grim up north

I'm up staying with Lou & Matt at the mo which is about 20 mins north of Cairns and about 50 mins south of Port Douglas. I haven't written much at all yet basically because I've just been so relaxed, properly on holiday and making the most of the pool and the gorgeous weather to really get my tan started! It's pretty much 30 degrees plus all day and may dip down to about 25 in the evening but so far I haven't worn a jacket or long-sleeved top once and had to go and buy some more clothes (again!)

Their place is absolutely gorgeous and complete with Oscar the 7 month old cocker spaniel is just so relaxing - has been the perfect place for me to unwind, and really begin to chill out as was the aim of this entire trip! I can't manage to download my pics onto Lou's pc yet but will sort them out soon enough and write a proper entry on what I've been up to but to be honest it's been pretty much just getting ready for Christmas so far and wandering around all the different beaches - hard life!
